MB - Matt Blackwood
EV - Eerie Von
MB - So when can we expect a new solo album?
EV - I am working on another record, but don't have a projected release date at
this time.
MB - What Influences went into "The Blood And The
Body"?
EV - Every influence went into that record, especially my experiences with glenn.
people say there's a lot of doors type of
vibe in there as well. all of the old
goth stuff like bauhaus and birthday party as
well as foetus were influences.
MB - Do you have any video or touring plans?
EV - No
MB - Why have you chosen not to be on the Samhain
reunion?
EV - There isn't a samhain reunion. that was all just talk and rumors.
I chose not to be involved when i heard
the talk, because i didn't
want to do something just to try to sell
the mythical boxset.
That's not fair to the fans.
MB - I know you get tired of being asked. But I have
heard many
different stories. What is the true
reason you left Danzig?
EV - Chuck, John and I got tired of it, and John and I only stayed to do the final
tour because we said we would. It was
going nowhere and it was time for a change.
MB - Would you ever consider playing with Glenn again?
EV - I don't think so.
MB - What bands are you listening to these days?
EV - I still like the stuff from the late 80s early 90s like "Alice In
Chains",
"Soundgarden", "Nine Inch
Nails". Also "Type O Neg", and "Manson".
other than that i mostly listen to real
old blues stuff and
bands bands from the 50s and 60s.
MB - Have any interesting stories from over the years
to share?
EV - There are too many stories to single out any one.
MB - How have the old fans responded to your new stuff?
EV - They like it and I haven't had any real negative responses.
MB - What can fans expect in the future?
EV - Expect the unexpected.
MB - Any final words, comments, or statements?
EV - I'd like to thank all the people who have supported me from
Danzig to now, and who are willing to give the
individual members a listen.
