JC - John Christ

MB - What were your thoughts going into your new solo album, "Flesh Caffeine"?
JC -When I first started, i just wanted to do an EP. I asked the fans to email me through the website
on what kind of music they wanted to hear. After reading all the requests I began to write the music
and found myself with about 12 songs. Flesh Caffeine was the last one I wrote and the one I thought
was the coolest. I wanted to do an album that was heavy but not Danzig.

MB -. How did you come up with that name "Flesh Caffeine"?
JC - My inspiration came from my girlfriend. At them time I wrote this song,
we were just getting together, it was really intense & we both liked
drinking alot of caffeine. So...I put the two together.

MB - You allowed fans to send in cover ideas for the new album,
did you end up using one of them?

JC - No, I want to do a cover in the future though.

MB -  Do you play all of the instruments on the record?
JC - Yes, except for the drums. My drummer is Stefan Svensson.

MB - How long did it take you to write the album?
JC - Started 2 years ago.

MB - Are there any tour or video plans?
JC - Not at this time. That will be determined once
I finish the cd & get it out there. Yes I want to do a tour.

MB - Why are you not participating in the Samhain reunion tour?
JC - #1, I was not asked, #2, I was not a big part of the band, not until the end.
#3, they could not afford me!

MB - I have heard many different stories and don't know what to believe.
What is the true reason why you guys left Danzig?

JC - I decided to leave because we weren't really a band anymore. Everyone was
going their own ways both personally and musically. It was not fun anymore.
It was time to move on. I left ultimately because I was unhappy.

MB - Would you ever play with Danzig again?
JC - Maybe if certain people apologized for the hundreds of things they did
wrong and payed me a million or 2 after taxes...then...well..maybe.

MB - I saw a picture of your bike, are you big into motorcycles?
JC -Not real big. I just like to ride & cruise around with my friends.

MB - What were you musical influences?
JC - Ted Nugent, Jimmy Hendrix, ACDC, Black Sabbath. Mozart, Bach, Beethoven.

MB - What bands are you listening to these days?
JC - Nothing really. Sting, some Metallica, old Alice in Chains, still ACDC, Black Sabbath.

MB - What is the best way for a fan to obtain you new album when it's released?
JC - Through my website at the beginning. I will autograph the CDs purchased
through my site, they will be numbered. I may auction the first one, #1 on
        ebay, not sure yet.

MB - Will you have any t-shirts, stickers, or anything of that nature available?

JC - Yes, when the CD somes out, all that will be available with the JC logo.

MB - Have an interesting story from over the years to share?
JC - Hmm....nothing comes to mind.

MB - What can fans expect in the future?
JC - Heavy sound that is a sonic assault to the senses!!!!

MB - Any final words, statements, messages, or anything else?

JC - Sorry about the CD's delay. I want to get Flesh Caffeine as soon as I
can. Looking forward to getting a band together & hitting the road!
